Bio Diesel

Invention of Steam Engine induced the Industrial Revolution of 1800s. Exploration of Crude Oil and its subsequent distillation helped to the invention Petrol Engine. Limitations of handling Petrol Led the way for Diesel Engine. Diesel Engines developed high Torque. Rudolf Diesel used Peanut Oil to run his engine. Inexpensive and readily available Petroleum fuels over took vegetable oils. In India over 80% of passengers and 60% of freight are moved by road. India’s Diesel requirements was 45 Million Tonnes in 2001-2002. TERI estimates for 2011-2012 is 65 Million Tonnes. This further increases to 100 Million Tonnes by 2020 and 200 Million Tonnes by 2030. This increase, increases the Green House Gas Emissions by over 50% and is a serious cause for melting of Himalayan Ice, upsetting the normal life in Plains and Sea Coasts.

An easy solution for this is Bio-Diesel. Every Kg. of Bio-Diesel reduces 3.2 Kgs. of Carbon dioxide. The other reductions are Sulphur dioxide by 99%, Carbon Monoxide by 20%, Soot by 50% and particulate matter by 40%. Besides the mileage increase is around 20% for Bio-Diesel. Bio-Diesel is produced from the following Vegetable Oils, by the countries mentioned.

Europe Rape Seed and Canola
Malaysia Palm Oil
France & Italy Sun Flower Seed
USA Soya Beans
Nicaragua Jatropha Curcus

We in FABRICHEM (TRICHY) PVT. LTD., since the beginning of our efforts for Bio-Diesel conversion, committed to process only the non edible oils. We have gainfully processed high FFA oils from Rubber Seed, Waste Cashew Kernels, Macadamia, Silk Cotton, Palm, Jatropha Curcus, Mahua, Papaya, Rice Bran, Fish Oils and Animal Fats. Season for any Vegetable Oil Seeds is around Two Months. We are suggesting the following programme for running the Bio-Diesel Production Unit.

Karanja / Pongamia February to April
Silk Cotton April to May
Mahua May to July
Neem June to July
Rubber Seed July to September
Jatropha Curcus July to September & October to December

Waste Cashew Kernel, Papaya, Macademia Fish Oils and Animal Fats are available year round and can meet the Short supplies in Vegetable Oils.

We have processed mixtures of the above oils to Bio-Diesel. Presently we are getting mixtures of oil seeds and process them to Oil and Bio-Diesel. These experiments ensure any quantity of any oil can be procured, mixed and processed to Bio-Diesel.

Proven know how available for producing Bio Diesel from any Vegetable Oils or mixture of Vegetable Oils of any FFA. The Bio Diesel will conform to International Standards. The other product is Glycerol. For edible quality oils, after getting the Bio Diesel, left over oil will conform to virgin edible oil of Zero FFA. The performance of the process will be proven in our Pilot Plant at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
